Hi!! My name is Parker Janowski. I’m from Dallas, Texas, and I’m currently a freshman at San Diego State University, majoring in Business Marketing.
Outside of school, I love to read before bed; usually books like The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, or The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. Funny enough, I actually find it harder to enjoy reading when it’s assigned for class compared to when I pick up a book on my own. I personally love The Great Gatsby book cover as well because it ties in art into the book.

I also keep a journal, mostly to jot down my thoughts and keep everything in one place. Some of my other favorite hobbies include painting, hiking, yoga, and (of course) fashion. Reading and writing often weave their way into these interests through magazines, websites, and social media. I love keeping up with the latest in fashion and art blogs, and I think it’s cool how reading and writing naturally connect with these creative spaces.
Another topic I’m passionate about outside of art and fashion is astronomy. I could talk for hours about the stars, the universe, and everything that might be out there. I typically talk about these topics with my friends when we’re looking up at the stars.
Overall, I’ve realized that reading and writing aren’t just strictly school subjects. They show up in the things I enjoy most and help me explore both creativity and curiosity. .
